your area? i miss the wacko shapes and styles of the 50s. . .they are getting rare because of wear and lots of people didn't like the wild colors and strange configurations. picasso would have though!

Refinishing Eames?

I have two plywood Eames chairs and a reproduction of the recliner that need some (a lot) of love. Does anyone have a good recommendation for the repairs in the L.A., Orange County, or San Diego area? I'd greatly appeciate it.

Huxford's Fiestaware Book- anyone have it?

I'm selling a bunch of Riviera on EBay, and there is none for me to reference for current pricing.

The most recent edition of the Huxford's book that I have, is from the 80s. Does anyone have the 2000 Edition? It's got a green cover on it.

I'd love to get some prices from it, for Rivieraware, if anyone would be so kind.

I am searching for a blonde wood Ilmari Tapiovaara chair for parts (distributed by Knoll, 1947-1962). It must have the crucial molded veneer "spine" that attaches to the seat and back. The condition of the rest of the chair is unimportant as long as I have this part. Anyone have it or know where I might be able to put my hands on it? Any help is appreciated.

I am organizing the the Denver retro expo, an event celebrating the golden era of american culture from roughly 1913-1965. all sub groups are welcome from Burlesque to Rockabillies and beyond
There will be food, entertainment, fashion, film, merchants and workshops.
we are looking for merchants, volunteers, area coordinators, models, sponsors, workshop hosts, and entertainers. We are in the Early stages of planning, and design, but we are still would like to hear from people interested in the project as soon as possible to make it the best we can.

I have an idea. If anyone needs anything in particualar, maybe post it on here. I know I regularly go to swap meets, and tweak on Ebay. I wouldnt mind keeping an eye out for someone. Let's say youre looking for a Danish teak framed early 60's sofa/couch. I might post it on here. As a matter of fact that's exactly what im looking for. No 9 footers though. Preferably something around 7 ft. So anyone spot one around So-Cal that aint too much $$$, let me know. Thanks...
